Great Coates In Bloom Win Gold

Great Coates In Bloom has been awarded the prestigious GOLD award for 2024 by East Midlands In Bloom for the third consecutive year, much to the delight of the hardworking and dedicated volunteers led by Cllr Mike Stewart and his wife, Dawn.
The group received their award at today’s ceremony in Melton Mowbray, narrowly missing out on becoming overall category winners by just one point.
Additionally, Great Coates resident Amanda Riggall of The Avenue earned a Silver Gilt award for her front garden, while Natasha’s Little Leaners of Newbury Avenue won a Judges Award for her contribution to the scarecrow competition and the In Bloom entry.
Congratulations to everyone involved! The team will now eagerly await the national Britain In Bloom Awards in Manchester on October 21st.
