Village Council Meetings

The regular meetings of the village council usually take place on the fourth calendar Thursday of each month.  There is always a notice posted on village notice boards and also here on this website confirming the start time of the meeting and also the venue. There may be occasions when these meetings may not occur at the above stated period.

The meetings will normally commence at 7.00 pm unless stated otherwise

Meetings are held at the village hall on Cooks Lane, Great Coates.  (Car parking and disabled access is available at the hall)

The press and public are most welcome to attend our meetings and there is a public break during the meeting at which point residents can make comments on any item on the agenda for consideration of the councillors when the agenda item is discussed and can also bring up issues and items which they feel the Village Council may wish to consider for future meetings.

Only items on the meeting’s agenda and tracking report can be discussed by councillors during the meeting.

“This council supports the rights of anyone to record this meeting but advises that anyone so recording cannot disrupt the meeting, by means of the recording, and expresses the hope that the person (or persons) carrying out the recording have obtained the necessary legal advice, for themselves, to ensure they understand the rights of anyone present who does not wish to be filmed or recorded”.
