Scarecrow 2023

The Great Coates Scarecrow Event will be over the weekend of 27th and 28th May 2023.

If you are planning on displaying a scarecrow please email clerk@greatcoates-pc.gov.uk which will help with our planning. Scarecrows should be placed on display no later than 0930 to be on the 1st version of the map. A revised map will be produced early afternoon for any late entries.

On both days The Fizzy Foal will be in attendance with their unique mobile bar together with Ice Cream from Bensley’s of Grainthorpe.

Saturday 27th food will be served from Wrights Panini’s together with afternoon entertainment from the fabulous, Robyn Gayle will be singing everything from the 60s through to the present day.

Sunday 28th May food will be served by Cooky Cooks with afternoon entertainment from the 70s rock legend – Kriz.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

On behalf of the Councillors and staff of Great Coates Village Council we
extend our condolences to the Royal Family on the passing of Her Majesty,
Queen Elizabeth II.
Her Majesty the Queen was the longest serving monarch in British history who
devoted her life to our country, bringing unity, strength and hope, an
exceptional person admired and respected throughout the world.
We will be writing to His Majesty the King, Charles III and members of the
Royal Family to express our sincere condolences on behalf of the village of
Great Coates.
