Stagecoach have issued the following update:-
I can confirm Stagecoach East Midlands are planning the following local bus service changes to coincide with the return of school children on 8 March 2021:
8S and 5S services to be reinstated. The 8S and 5S are additional trips on the 8 and 5 services which provide additional capacity to allow for social distancing at peak travel times for pupils travelling to Toll Bar, Humberston Academy and Healing Academy.
3 and 4 local bus services to return to a 10 minute frequency throughout the day. The reinstatement of the 10 minute frequency on the 3 and 4 services is subject to staff availability. Following the publication of the revised shielding list, additional members of staff who work at the Grimsby Depot have been added to the list. If Stagecoach East Midlands cannot find a staffing solution, the 10 minute frequency will only be provided at peak travel times.
5 service to return to a 30 minute frequency and the 6 service to return to a 15 minute frequency (both throughout the day) which will provide a combined 10 minute frequency along Cromwell Road. Essentially these are the service frequencies which were being provided by Stagecoach East Midlands prior to the latest lockdown.
We expect Stagecoach East Midlands to submit the above service changes to the Traffic Commissioner by 3 March 2021. Stagecoach East Midlands are anticipating they will need to make a final set of service changes by the 12 April 2021 which coincide with the reopening of non-essential retail. Any planned changes will be discussed with North East Lincolnshire Council prior to being registered with the Traffic Commissioner.
